Residential Duct Cleaning

Residential Duct Cleaning

Every time you turn on the furnace, dust, dirt, pollen, animal dander, and other airborne contaminants are pulled into your duct system and circulated throughout the house.

These contaminants build up inside the duct work over time and help make your duct system an ideal breading ground for mold spores, bacteria, fungus, mildew and other microbes. Proper removal of contaminants from the entire duct system, by using proper equipment, is what is referred to as Source Removal.

In addition to the obvious health benefits, proper duct cleaning can maintain a cleaner home. It also helps to restore the heating/cooling system capacity, thus resulting in lower heating bills.

Commercial Duct Cleaning

Indoor Air Quality problems are more prevalent in tight, energy efficient buildings and offices. That is because a high percentage of re-circulated air is utilized.

A building’s air duct network acts as its “respiratory system”. Dirt, dust, debris and microbial growth accumulate inside the duct system hidden from view. This “congests” the system and makes it difficult for the building to “breathe” properly and function efficiently.

Common indoor air contaminants include: fibers, chemicals from carpeting/fabrics. Formaldehyde from furniture vapors from cleaning/copier chemicals, hair, dander, and germs from occupants.

Dryer Vent Cleaning

A dryer duct (vent) is NOT a part of the air duct system in your house. However, excess lint from constant drying of clothes accumulates in the dryer vent duct. Consequently, air is blocked from venting properly outside the house.

There are two main reasons why we encourage/recommend cleaning your dryer vent at the end of the air duct cleaning in your home:

1.     A blocked dryer vent can and does represent a real fire hazard.

2.     Clean unobstructed dryer ducts will dry clothes quicker and thus save energy.
